God, I simply love this cover artwork! I toyed with the idea of buying them a few years back, but as always, other things prevented me and after all I already have the Flemings both in German and English. But now, with that new introduction by different authors and these fantastic covers... rolleyes.gif

Well, a man's got to buy what a man's got to buy, isn't it? wink.gif

Yes, I'm pretty sure I'll order them this fall.

Hmmm.... haven't heard of most of those folks, but I'm thrilled by the news (which has taken a while to trickle down to yours truly) that the wonderful Fahey covers will be hitting UK editions. YES!!!!!!!! thumbup.gif

Mo Hayder for YOLT, eh? Chosen purely for having written the mediocre thriller "Tokyo", no doubt. rolleyes.gif Doesn't seem to be any imagination at all to this list - is there anyone on it who isn't a British thriller writer? (Fair enough, like I say I haven't heard of most of these people, but I would hardly be surprised to learn that they're all Brit thriller scribes.)

Still, those Fahey covers are the thing. Woo-hoo! smile.gif

WOW! Is the 2008 continuation author in this list then!? eek.gif

The exact same thought occurred to me, BC, but I hope not. Just because someone's a reasonably established Brit thriller writer, it doesn't necessarily follow that he or she has the right to wear the crown of Bond continuation novelist (or, for that matter, to write an introduction to a Fleming reissue, he writes, warming to his grumpy theme wink.gif ).

There are plenty of talented unknowns out there. Just check out some of the best of fanfiction. Yes, I'm talking to you, IFP!

I hope he's on that list -- because I hope it's Charlie Higson!

I'm thrilled that Jeffery Deaver is doing an intro for Casino Royale as he's probably my all-time favourite author. I'm sure he'd do a cracking Bond novel if he was given the chance too.
