Thinking about hitting that SF/Menlo Park appearance myself, although I am a little bummed he's doing this before the release of the US Blood Fever harcover because I'd like to get that book signed. How to get a copy early...

With all due respect to Charlie Higson and the IFP, but personally I cannot help feel that the US tour is short lived and basically limited. What kind of book tour is this if there is only three cities? I'm very disappointed in that the East Coast is entirely omitted.

I've asked if this is really the FULL tour. I'll report when I hear back. I do find it odd that they're doing this before the release of Blood Fever. But maybe this is the only time and as much a tour as Charlie can do this time?

I am also bummed that he will not be visiting the East Coast. I enjoyed meeting him last year when he promoted SilverFin.

Still...since it looks like I will be moving to the West Coast at the end of this year perhaps the concentration on that coast isn't such a bad thing. biggrin.gif

You're moving to the West Coast, Dlibs? Where?

I think we've just added a new member to the West Coast Bond posse. cool.gif

It's a pity I don't live in Palo Alto anymore; my family used to go to Kepler's all the time.

It wouldn't be a James Bond adventure starring Daniel Craig without some controversy!

From their website, looks like a cool store. I went to school for a short time in Menlo Park (Menlo College) so I'm sure I've been there. But that was many moons ago (1983!). In fact, it could have been in Kepler's where I first spotted Steven J. Rubin's updated The James Bond Films, then the only book about the Bond films in print.

I'm still having trouble getting my head around the idea that they'd do this tour before the book is released. Isn't the whole reason bookstores host author appearances is so they can sell a boatload of the latest book? Of course, they'll have the SilverFin paperback, but my hope is they will have a supply of the hardcover Blood Fever for sale early. Maybe this is why the tour is so limited.

I'm asking my self the same questions...

I'm hoping someone attends in SF or Seattle and posts the details here, so I can decide if it's worthwhile making the trip to Chicago...

But today is the thirteenth...
