With all the new Bond books this year, I wouldn't be surprised!

...anything that's been coming down the pike for the past year is being held by publishers for the movie tie-in. Free publicity.

The book will probably be good. Open Court Publishing does a whole series of media/philosophy books, and wants authors to have real scholarly credentials with their submissions.

But isnt CR supposed to uncover the "hidden past of Bond" and explain EVERYTHING? Why have the book then?
Bond wouldnt be caught dead with a Philosopher unless she was a Bond gal.

Next up "Bond and Zoology: Uncover the secrets of the animals featured in Bond movies" Special introduction by Monkey specialist John Glen.

In a perfect world, Sean would be Bond, Angelina Jolie the Bond girl,Kevin Spacey the Bond Villian, George Lucas/Lucasfilm the producer and Steven Spielberg the director.
Proud maker of Hollowed Volcanoes since 1962.

Because that tagline is a nice selling point.

Well, if you enjoy thinking about Bond, and thinking about the implications of Bond movies, the ideas and motifs expressed in the films, then I guess this sort of book is appealing, and if the idea of that kind of exploration is repellant, then the book will be too.

Got mine today. The cover is rather different (and sadly not as good) compared to the one on amazon.
