Very nice article and some spiffing graphics.
Especially looking forward to your take on ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. ![]() ![]() "Critics rarely remark on how well written the James Bond stories are. I suppose that with a man as civilized and amusing as Mr Fleming, good writing is taken for granted." Eric Ambler |

A nice review. I didn't find it hard to agree with most of the content given how much I love Dr No. Interested to read the other four when they become available.

I'm geeked about this article, and I haven't even read the whole thing yet. Decided I'd better come back and finish it when I have more time and less distractions...

Thanks guys, OHMSS should take less time than the first one, I had some format issues I needed to iron out (I had the article in a running diary format but it seemed a little thin and didn't read as well as I hoped it would).

I enjoyed what i read. I stopped reading at the point when you incorrectly stated that Joseph Wiseman provided the voice for Blofeld in the 4th and 5th films.
To begin with, that would make them TB and YOLT - Donald Pleasence played Blofeld in YOLT, so Wiseman definitely didn't do the voice there. What you mean are the 2nd and 4th films - FRWL and TB. But that is still incorrect as Eric Pohlmann provided the voice on both these occasions. The urban legend that Wiseman did Blofeld's voice seems to stem from the fact that the first we hear him in Dr. No, he is a just an ominous voice in the background. You would of course be correct if you said Anthony Dawson played Blofeld in FRWL and TB as he did. ![]() ![]() Agent T the Lone Wolf |
