Love it. They just keep coming and coming from Titan. The Spy Who Loved Me, then Colonel Sun, and now The Golden Ghost!

Fear Face sees 007 team up with the framed Briony Thorne, agent 0013, against villain Ferenc Kress. In Double Jeopardy, Bond goes up against Fritz Kumar and SPECTRE; working with Kumar's girlfriend, Lalla Sadab. Both stories were published in 1971.

Argh!!! mad.gif Fifteen dollars a piece I paid for these babies... Now, they're going to be done in one of these beautiful editions and sold for less than I paid for one! Pre-order now folks, these will be hard to come by one day, and anyone who loves Fleming's Bond will want them in their collection.

I hope everyone supports these original stories and gives them a fair chance, so that we can see even more future editions. The dream, naturally, would be for them to run all the way through Polestar smile.gif .

I'll throw in more later once I've re-read each of these three, but Golden Ghost is one of the best of Lawrence's and I am seriously stoked tongue.gif !

At the rate their going so far, I don't see why they won't (I hope so anyways tongue.gif). We're getting on average three stories a collection and they've been coming out quite quickly in my opinion.

It says that on Amazon, but they're wrong. River of Death is in the CS collection. Check out the CBn article HERE.

BTW, Colonel Sun is now listed on the US Amazon website, but the US release isn't until May.

So who has read these soon-to-released strips?

For me, past Colonel Sun, I will be moving into unknown territory here and wondering as to their relevance.

Aside from the completist attitude that I am sure zencat will advocate, are they stories worth investigating in their own right?

Thanks.

Comic Strip Queries?

As always, I point you to this site: http://home9.inet.tele.dk/oreskov/

This should give you an idea of where the original strips started heading and what sort of stories were being created.

The Bond Files by Andy Lane and Paul Simpson also cover the strips in detail.

While I am glad that Titan is continuing to publish these(though I wonder why they can't be released in the US & UK simultaneously), I do wonder why Titan stopped doing them back in the late 80's.

Our friends at Titan have provided a first look at The Golden Ghost cover art, however, they caution this is not final.

Interesting. Same as the Colonel Sun cover art it seems.
