How very unprofessional and indigent behaviour from both parties.

My guess is since it was a response to a question in an interview, the question was probably posed like: "George Lazenby thinks you suck." and Brosnan, who rightly considers himself a professional actor, dismisses Lazenby as a pretender. It is interesting how over the years (10 now) that the two have bickered through the press.

pierce could've easily taken the high road on this one. regardless of what lazenby said, pierce is the one in the spotlight, and this just makes him look bad. which he seems to do quite a bit lately.

Very unprofessional on both counts. And, this may shock some people, but I'm going to stick up for Brosnan on this one. George Lazenby has no place to criticize Brosnan as an actor, as Lazenby is not an actor himself. While I would have expected more professional behavior from Brosnan, I can understand where he's coming from, being criticized by someone who is generally regarded by the general public as the weakest of the actors to play Bond.

I remember Brosnan seeming to sneer at Lazenby in an interview, dubbing him "the Crunchie guy". See the following thread:
http://debrief.commanderbond.net/index.php?showtopic=13763 But Lazenby doesn't appear to be doing himself any favours, either. |

I think George Lazengy was just upset that he's such a forgotten Bond and not in the spotlight. With Brosnan just being fired, he's starting to go through the same anger.

The funny thing is that Lazenby played the character better in his one film than Brosnan did in his four.

This is the first tidbit out of the upcoming Pierce Brosnan interview which is going to be candid to say the least.
Still, how petty of Pierce. Is it just me, or has the guy suddenly become a jerk? ![]() |

I, too, would have expected Brosnan to take the moral high ground and I think it's a little harsh to call him a jerk, but he does have a film to promote

QUOTE(Qwerty @ 3 November 2005 - 13:46) http://commanderbond.net/quicknews/index.p...item&item=26731 This doesn't seem like something he would say... On the contrary, given Brosnan's comments earlier this year about EON and the Bond character it sounds exactly like the sort of thing he would say. |
