Cracking article - I didn't realise there was so much that could be found. Guess it all comes down to the persistance of the searcher.
I was happy to have found Pagi during my trip, although my lovely lady managed to take a picture of the place when the film hadn't actually 'taken' on the sprockets. Cheers. ![]() ________________________________________________

This is an AMAZING story with terrific pics. Love the comparison shots. I'm stunned at how unchanged everything is. Looking at the pics, I actually think some of these locales weren't done justice in the film. Things seem to be framed a little too tightly in FYEO. I can see now how opening up the frame more on some of these shots, or just changing the angle, would have revealed another clock tower or beautiful mountain vista. A good example here.
I really encourage everyone to click on over to http://www.onthetracksof007.com/ and take a look at similar stories on almost all the movie locations (click on "overview"). Martin is also now selling a CDROM that sounds great. Thank you for sharing this with CBn, Martin. This is a classic. ![]() |

A very interesting read Evan. Thank you.
We love Greece. Carol and I have visited Zakynthos 14 times, as well as Cyprus and Samos. There is indeed very many exciting and interesting monastery's and churches in Greece that have an extraordinary 'pull' about them. Thanks again for this great information. Yamass, Ian ![]() |

Hey Byron.
Hey, Greece is our second home my friend. One day we're going to purchase some land over there and rest our old butts on that Greek soil. In the meantime, if you have some deals going on, we would of course be extremely interested. "speak or forever hold us in Greece!". Excellent article....one of my favorite Bond films.
On the comment of the death of Locque being the first time 007 had been ruthless since the early films. Surely though Roger was similarly ruthless when he flipped his tie away from Sandor in TSWLM. |

Well, I do, but that's because I run the site..
That's not fair now is it..? Yes all the stories we offer (27 around the world) are of similar quality, same sort of comparison photos, but also with clickable maps, video sections, etc. Look at the stories we offer on our site, go to 'overview'.. If you like Bond, Bond history, traveling, locations, or a combination of this, you'll love the site.. ![]() |
