Red Grant has to be pretty excited about this one; I know a CS adaption was high on his wish list. As for me, I'm very interested in what Jim Lawrence stories will go along with it. River of Death is a bit weak, but Golden Ghost was one of his best. Should be interesting.

GREAT news! I'm just about set to pre-order Titan's The Spy Who Loved Me and this comes!
I'd expect River Of Death to accompany it if they're going in order, Golden Ghost if they have three in total in the collection. ![]() |

Due to the critical reviews of Colonel Sun, I always thought it was kind of funny that the year Ann Fleming passed away was the year that Glidrose started up the continuation novels again (not counting Pearson and Wood).
Good news about Colonel Sun being adapted next. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(K1Bond007 @ 11 August 2005 - 19:02) Due to the critical reviews of Colonel Sun, I always thought it was kind of funny that the year Ann Fleming passed away was the year that Glidrose started up the continuation novels again (not counting Pearson and Wood). Contrary to popular belief, Ann Fleming's thoughts about the continuations were pretty much irrelevant - she was never on the board, remember? She could conjure up some inconveniently bad publicity by badmouthing it, but she couldn't have blocked a continuation, as CS proves. She didn't stop CS, even though she was very vocally rude about it, so there would have been no reason she could have stopped LR, either. ![]() Author of FREE AGENT, out in the UK, Canada and US in spring 2009 |

Well that I knew, but I think it would have been difficult to sell a series of continuation novels with the wife of Fleming badmouthing it openly in the press. That'd be pretty bad, marketing wise. Still, it's just kind of ironical that it was the same year. ![]() ![]() |
