And a fantastic article it is, urhash! Superb job!
Quite an interesting fact that Hemming came up with the idea, but then it makes sense since she was costume designer. Some really good pictures in there too, and as the new watch for the newest Bond, it's very sharp looking...and the price proves it. ![]() |

Thanks guys.
I too like articles with a specific focus on Bond's 'look' as seen in the films. Maybe this will spur some interest in that area. How about an article on the Brioni tux from Bryce? ![]() "You were expecting someone else?"

Terrific stuff, urhash. Love the article.
Sensualist was a huge Formula One fan and was captivated by Ayrton Senna, the outstanding driver of his day. Hence, Sensualist's diving watch of choice back in 1997 was a TAG Heuer, tone on tone. Both sporty and elegant. Still ticking and still classy. Rolex, somehow, still seems the choice for OO7. That one from Live And Let Die is OUTSTANDING! I've heard a rumor that Bond will be using a NEW Seamaster in the next Bond film. It's the GMT that I mentioned in the article as being more sporty.
Here's a picture: http://www.omegawatches.com/lux-example/im...gd/21348000.jpg Except it will be stainless steel, not gold as in the pic. ![]() "You were expecting someone else?"

Good, informative article, urhash.
Hate to be nitpicky, but I'm not sure if that pic you posted is really a "new" Seamaster. I believe the GMT Chronometer is the kind Brosnan usually wears in the ads with his name (as opposed to Bond's name). Brozzie's is black with the stainless steel, I think. Although it's "new" to the Bond films, I suppose. Again, well done on the article. Very concise. ![]() ![]() CBn:Where the moonlight on the Bosphorous is irresistible... Bond. The Bat. Actually that's what I meant. I'm a little surprised to see that Brosnan is now endorsing the 'Bond' Seamaster under his own name. Take a look at www.omegawatches.com to see what I mean. ![]() "You were expecting someone else?"

Can anyone explain to me what the purpose of unidirectional rotating bezel on the Omega Seamaster and other similarly styled dive watches is?
Does it have something to do with moving the 0 of the bezel to the minute hand of the watch and then using the numbers on the bezel to determine how much time has elapsed? For example, a diver at the surface would plan hisr dive according to depth and bottom time. Let's say the dive tables say 115 feet for 15 minutes. He would then turn the rotating bezel so that the 0 would lined up with the minute hand. During the dive, the diver would then constantly refer to watch adjusting his depth as time elapsed. When the minute hand reached the middle of the 20 section, the diver should be at the surface. Do I understand this correctly? Its probably very basic, but the Omega manual doesn't seem to mention how to use the bezel. ![]() |

Oh I know... I was actually going to mention this. I mean I know he's done ads as "Pierce Brosnan's Choice..." as well as "James Bond's Choice..." but is seems as if the new Pierce + Omega campaign is larger than usual... as if he's signed on to be one of their main spokes "models" ...it's seems a little different than their normal signing with him... this could be a clue in the "Brosnan back as Bond?" thing. ![]() Here's a snippit from HELLO MAG about his new Omega Deal. ![]() |
