WOW!
When Athena showed me this last night...I was speechless. Behind the scenes interviews and footage from TSWLM and MR? How long has this been on the web undiscovered by the Bond fan? And how beautiful is Barbara Bach? If you ever hear me say I like some other Bond Girl more than Triple X, slap me. Also, can I just say how much I miss Cubby. Listening to him talk about Bond...I don't know, the guy just makes me feel safe and happy and excited to see "his" movie. He was a great showman...he was a great man. And the DAD stuff is very cool too...but...there was magic happening on that TSWLM set and you can smell it in these clips. Great find, Athena. ![]() |

I do the same thing. I can't spell worth a dang. But, don't worry, writing has nothing to do with spelling.

Good stuff. Did I hear Brosnan correctly when he referred to Lazenby as "the crunchy fellow"? It sounds funny, but what does it mean in the UK?

Well, here in Britain there's a famous chocolate bar that's been around for years, called a Crunchie Bar (milk chocolate with a honeycomb centre). I believe Lazenby appeared in a chocolate bar commercial prior to OHMSS, not for Crunchie but for a bar called Fry's Chocolate Cream. I've not seen the interview, but I'm sure Brosnan is referring (somewhat disparagingly) to Lazenby's advertising days, getting the chocolates mixed up but not caring since it underlines his implication that Lazenby was/is a nobody. Sounds like Brosnan is rather arrogantly dismissing Lazenby. I've noticed from other interviews that he seems to: - Have boundless admiration for Connery, whom he appears to see as his only rival in the "best Bond of all time" stakes; - Have grudging respect for Moore; - Have very little time for Dalton; - Consider Lazenby a laughable failure. |

Hi Gang,
I spotted this on the 'Film 2004' website and thought it maybe of some interest. I did do a search to see whether there was already a thread for this. I sincerely hope there's some new stuff there for you. All the best, Cheers, Ian ![]() |
