  2. John Glen live on Radio Christmas

    By Helmut Schierer on 2012-12-20

‘Catching Bullets’ author Mark O’Connell today gave us a shout about an imminent live radio interview this evening on Radio Christmas with five-time 007 director John Glen:

It is to be broadcast on Radio Christmas in aid of the charity STREET KIDS DIRECT which helps orphans living rough in Guatamala and Honduras. The interviewer has some connection to the director as he is his son Andy Glen, and topics will naturally include the five Bond movies from FOR YOUR EYES ONLY to LICENCE TO KILL that John helmed plus of course his earlier second unit and editing work on previous 007 movies.

Other than the broadcast licence this station has no costs so all monies go to the charity.

The radio station is Radio Christmas which broadcasts on 87.7Mhz in South Bucks but worldwide over the internet or via the Radio Christmas App. for iPhone and Android. All details and the ‘listen live’ link are on the website http://www.radiochristmas.co.uk.

  6. JAMES BOND IS BACK!

    By Matthew Harkin on 2012-10-25

CommanderBond.net is delighted to announce that James Bond is back, in SKYFALL. The 50th Anniversary and 23rd James Bond film in the series is released today in the UK. After four long years, the wait is finally over. James Bond has returned.

When an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, James Bond is missing and presumed to be dead, and the identities of every active undercover MI6 Agent are leaked onto the internet. In the aftermath, questions are raised over M’s ability to run the Secret Service, and she becomes the subject of a government review over her handling of the situation. When the service itself is attacked, Bond’s sudden reappearance gives M the pretext she needs to seek out Raoul Silva, a dangerous villain claiming a personal connection to both of them – but as he follows a trail from London to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.

Skyfall is at UK Cinema’s NOW.
