The good news doesn’t seem to end when it comes to Casino Royale’s international box office details.

The 21st official James Bond film has set a new record upon its release in India, reports Indiantelevision.com, where it made Rs. 149 million in the first three days of release.

Casino Royale has the best opening weekend for a foreign film, beating previous record holder Spider-man 2 and the film has also become the fastes to pass the Rs. 100 million mark.

Sony Pictures Releasing India MD Uday Singh, says, ‘Casino Royale has exceeded our expectations at the box-office. This unprecedented opening is the largest for a foreign film in India. Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond 007 film produced by franchise holders Eon Productions. The MGM/Columbia Pictures production began shooting in January and opened on 16 November 2006 in the UK and worldwide starting on 17 November. The world premiere of Casino Royale took place on 14 November in London. The film stars Daniel Craig as James Bond; locations include the Czech Republic, the Bahamas, Italy and the UK.
