While English tabloid The Sun has today published great new pictures from the Bahamas Set of Casino Royale, Empire Online has scooped seme exclusive and exciting new plot details!

Seems the whole film is subject of the ‘re-invention’ of the Bond series. As Empire reports, "the traditional pre-credits action sequence will show how Bond got his 00-rating, showing the (required) two kills that he carries out. We’d heard that – but the news that it is in black and white is new, as is the news that the change to colour will come at a crucial point."

It has been speculated that this crucial point will be the traditional gunbarrel, as there were rumours that the gunbarrel will only be seen after the pre-title-sequence.

The whole pre-title-sequence, however, is backstory, aimed at giving the film a back to basics feel. There will be no Q and no gadgets, as reported before, and since it’s the film version of the first book, Bond makes mistakes and develops into the character we all know.

‘Empire Online’ further reports, "Although the first part is wildly different to the book (there’s a lot more scuba diving!), director Martin Campbell claims the film is very faithful to the book’s third act – which, as readers will know, contains some rather shocking scenes. In the meantime we can expect lots of handheld cameras and equally un-Bond lighting/camerawork."

In other related news, the first set reports are going to air today and tomorrow in different TV magazines. First, American programme ‘Extra’ went to the Bahamas for secrets from Casino Royale. A list of when it will air can be found on the ‘Extra’ website.

Tonight, TV viewers in Britain are able to catch the first footage from the Bahamas set. ‘ET Today’ with Ben, Jenni, Michael and Carla will feature a set report that can be seen from 8.35 P.M. onwards.

Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond film produced by franchise holders Eon Productions. The MGM/Columbia Pictures production began shooting in January and is due for release worldwide on 17 November 2006. Starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, it is currently being filmed in the Czech Republic, the Bahamas, Italy and the UK.
