1 June
- 1974: W.J. Milligan Jr. and his crew filmed the corkscrew stunt for The Man With The Golden Gun, the ninth “official” James Bond film, in Thailand with Loren “Bumps” Willard behind the wheel.
- 1994: At 12:35 PM, Pierce Brosnan received a phone call from his agent, Fred Spector, telling him he had won the role of James Bond for the second time.
6 June
- 1983: The British premiere of Octopussy, the thirteenth “official” James Bond film, was held at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square in London, England.
8 June
- 1994: A nervous Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson introduced the new James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, in the drawing room of the Regent Hotel in London, England to an audience of nearly 300 media personnel.
9 June
- 1963: Upon completing Pedro Armendariz’s scenes for From Russia With Love, the second “official” James Bond film, Terrence Young, the director, threw a party for the ailing actor.
- 1997: Stuntman B.J. Worth began the first of twenty days of filming in Arizona. He was there to film Bond’s HALO jump seen in Tomorrow Never Dies, the eighteenth “official” James Bond film.
10 June
- 1983: Octopussy, was released in the United States of America.
12 June
- 1964: United Artists prepared a press release that would announce that the next James Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, is set to begin filming with Sean Connery.
- 1967: You Only Live Twice, the fifth “official” James Bond film, was released in the United Kingdom.
- 1985: The British premiere of A View To A Kill, the fourteenth “official” James Bond film, was held at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square in London, England.
13 June
- 1967: You Only Live Twice was released in the United States of America.
- 1989: Licence To Kill, the sixteenth “official” James Bond film, was released in the United Kingdom.
16 June
- 1997: Three cars burst into flames during filming of the car park car chase in Tomorrow Never Dies. Passerby’s called for fire assistance when they saw smoke billowing from the Brent Cross Shopping Centre car park even though the film company had a fire crew already standing by.
18 June
- 1963: Less than two weeks after finishing his work on From Russia With Love, Pedro Armendariz took his own life while suffering from the effects of lymph gland cancer at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
- 1974: Seven hundred prints of a trailer for The Man With The Golden Gun were distributed to cinemas all around the United States. The trailer was 90 seconds long.
20 June
- 1963: With three cameras rolling on the action, Terrence Young began filming the famous fight scene between James Bond and Red Grant aboard the Orient Express in From Russia with Love.
- 1965: South Africa’s Publications Control Board in Johannesburg added Ian Fleming’s The Spy Who Loved Me to their list of banned books, although it had been available on bookstore shelves for three years. No reason was given, but it was suspected that Bond’s conduct in the novel played a major role in the decision.
21 June
- 1963: Filming for From Russia With Love continued on the fight between Bond and Grant on the Orient Express set. Upon completetion, many felt the fight was too violent and should be cut.
23 June
- 1969: Principal photography on On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the sixth “official” James Bond film, was completed.
- 1984: Production of A View To A Kill began in Iceland where the Second Unit filmed the pre-title sequence.
24 June
- 1981: The British premiere of For Your Eyes Only, the twelfth “official” James Bond film, was held at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square in London, England.
25 June
- 1976: Kevin McClory filed suit against Cubby Broccoli claiming the current script for The Spy Who Loved Me, the tenth “official” James Bond film, plageriazed a script he had already written.
26 June
- 1979: The British premiere of Moonraker, the eleventh “official” James Bond film, was held at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square in London, England.
- 1981: For Your Eyes Only was released in the United States of America.
- 1997: Pierce Brosnan arrived at the Brent Cross Shopping Centre to film insert shots for the car park car chase in Tomorrow Never Dies.
27 June
- 1973: Live And Let Die, the eighth “official” James Bond film, was released in the United States of America.
- 1984: Fueled by gasoline canisters left over from the production of director Ridley Scott’s Legend, a huge fire razed the 007 soundstage at Pinewood Studios. Filming of A View To A Kill was delayed by two to three weeks.
28 June
- 1986: At Sotheby’s “Collector’s Carousel Sale” Auction held in New York, James Bond’s Aston Martin from Goldfinger, the third “official” James Bond film, sold for around $250,000. Also for sale at the auction was Ernst Stavro Blofeld’s batho-sub from Diamonds Are Forever, the seventh “official” James Bond film, which didn’t meet the seller’s sale price and Auric Goldfinger’s 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III which sold for around $110,000.
29 June
- 1987: The British premiere of The Living Daylights, the fifteenth “official” James Bond film, was held at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square in London, England with Prince Charles and Princess Diana in attendance.
30 June
- 1971: Shane Rimmer filmed his first scenes at Pinewood Studios with Sean Connery and Jimmy Dean for Diamonds Are Forever.
