As CommanderBond.net first alerted readers yesterday, entertainment show Extra was on the set of Quantum of Solace in Chile for an exclusive interview with Daniel Craig.
The report was broadcast on local TV stations today, but an online video is available on the official website for James Bond fans who missed it.
When asked about his return as 007, Craig said: ‘It’s alot more pressure. We couldn’t have expected the success and how people reacted [to Casino Royale].’
As many fans are well aware, the actor celebrated his 40th birthday while filming in Panama in early March. ‘I’m over it now,’ he said with a laugh. ‘It’s going OK at the moment.’
But Craig kept quiet when the subject of his possible engagement with girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell was brought up. ‘I’m not going to tell you’ was his straight-to-the-point response.
In addition, a local video by 24HORAS (available on YouTube) also featured an interview with Craig, director Marc Forster and Mathieu Amalric as the Bond production prepared to depart Chile.
Forster summed up the importance of choosing the right locations for the film: ”That’s ultimately what it’s about. As a filmmaker, you want several locations to serve your purpose and it happened to be here because the Paranal Observatory is here and then everything else fell into place.’
‘It’s a stunning place. We were just lucky to be out there,’ added Craig.
