  1. Tom Jones Returns To The Bond Song

    By daniel on 2000-10-26

Move over Robbie Williams … here comes Tom Jones! People News have reported that singer Tom Jones, who has already crooned the hit theme song Thunderball, is being lined up to sing the theme tune for the next James Bond movie. “PeopleNews can reveal that the producers of the next 007 film are attempting to sign up the Welsh singer to perform the song, contrary to rumours that the honour would go to Robbie Williams.” PeopleNew also quote a source within the Bond pre-production team who said: ‘It’s early days, but we are desperately keen to have Jones do it. The recent themes have not been huge successes, but Tom Jones is a legend and the song would almost certainly be massive.’

The only thing I find disturbing in this report is that the claim that the working title for the film is ‘Beyone The Ice’. For those of you who have followed Bond 20 news you’ll know this is a rumour from around the time that Edward Woodward was rumoured to be playing the new M. However, they stand by their guns. Perhaps this shows there report to be false, perhaps it also shows some truth in previous rumours. Who knows? Only time will tell…
