Sir Roger Moore, star of seven James Bond 007 films and tireless worker for UNICEF, was presented the Hall Of Fame ‘Living Legend’ award from the Queen at Windsor Castle today – reports ITV.

These awards, ‘designed to recognise the extraordinary and often courageous achievements of older people’ are split into nine different categories, from Local Hero to the Dame Thora Hird Award for Outstanding Achievement award. Upon receiving the honour, Sir Roger Moore said: ‘It is great honour for me to be here but the important people are those that aid their friends, family and neighbours. I think it is great shame in our society that many older people are forced to retire when they have so much left to offer.’

Many congratulations to Sir Roger for all of his never-ending work with UNICEF.
