    The classic James Bond comic strip releases continue. As previously reported by CBn, the newest 007 comic strip collection by Titan Books, Colonel Sun was released in the UK on 23 December 2005. For US Bond fans, their chance to own this collection (which includes the original story, River Of Death in addition to the title story) is coming up. The Colonel Sun collection, due for release on 1 May 2006 is available to pre-order at amazon.com, now at a discounted price of $12.97 (35% off from the $19.95 list price).

    Colonel Sun is based on the very first 007 continuation novel by Kingsley Amis (under the pseudonym of Robert Markham), published in 1968. James Bond travels to Greece and must protect a Soviet peace conference from potential sabotage. In the original 007 story, River Of Death, James Bond takes on the evil Dr. Cat in the Amazon, a villain believed to be behind several recent murders.
