  1. Fleming Novels Return To Germany

    By Tim Roth on 2003-01-18

According to the German Heyne publishing house, the German translations of Ian Flemings James Bond novels will be re-published during 2003. So far no date for the re-releases, or the format of the re-releases, have been announced.

In the past, John Gardner and Raymond Benson’s James Bond adventures were published by Heyne in Germany with the Fleming adventures being published by Scherz. The announcement by Heyne of the forthcoming Fleming re-releases indicates that after four decades Scherz have sold the rights to print the Fleming adventures in Germany.

It also seems that there will be ‘classic’ covers, after Heyne asked Bond fans whether they like ‘classic’ or ‘modern’ covers better, and most fans wanted the classic covers back.
