  1. Yeoh Says No!

Former Bond girl (and perhaps future one if you believe the rumours) Michelle Yeoh, who played Chinese secret agent Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies, has turned down a role in the sequel to ‘The Matrix’.

As reported earlier by CommanderBond.net Yeoh was offered a role both The Matrix 2 and 3 opposite Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Yeoh has announced that she turned down the role so she could both produce and star in her upcoming project “The Touch”, an action-adventrue film much like ‘Crouching Tiger – Hidden Dragon’.

“I’m not going to do ‘The Matrix’. I’m a great fan of the Waschowski brothers but some things are more important. I just started my own production company and the filming of it conflicted with my movie. I believe it is time to do other things, stories coming from Asia. At the end of the day you have to do what`s really important to you.”

Sadly, a project like The Matrix would probably bring more light to her own career and this may cause her some ‘pain’ in the future. But you have to do what you have to do…
